Bedding Upgrades - neutral vibes

I mean COVID right? It has led me to many apartment upgrades let’s just say that. Bedding is something I have halfway cared about. Recently I had the urge to upgrade it all: comforter, sheets, pillows, duvet, quilt. In hopes to create a Pottery Barn dream I’ve so far impressed myself lol.

If you’re not familiar, Pottery Barn is infamous for creating layered dreamy looks that make you want to jump inside. With this inspiration of many layers here’s where I landed:

Sheets: The ever ending battle of finding the softest sheets. So I bought two. First, Casaluna from Target. They are Sateen with a Cashmere blend. These are really soft and nice quality for Target. I would say better than Nate Berkus. But the real winner in this game is Bamboo Sheets. My sister always tells me how amazing these are so I went for the splurge. It.was.worth.it. I found these at Macy’s. Both sheets are great depending your budget.

Comforter: I normally layer two lightweight downs but in order to make for a fluffy layered dream, I splurged here too. Splurge when there’s sale though, duh! I chose a heavyweight down from Macy’s and I think I’ve been sleeping better since. The weight of it is super nice. If you’re someone who gets hot I would probably choose a medium weight to still achieve a fluffy full look. I

Duvet Cover: Because I am layering a lot, I left my original lightweight down under the new heavyweight down. Each with a different color and material duvet cover for texture.

For the lightweight down, I went with Casaluna Cashmere Blend Duvet Cover. This is really soft and nicely priced for Target.

For the heavyweight, I went with this striped Linen Duvet from Pottery Barn. The neutrals, texture and strips are perfect for all season styling if I swap pillows or sheet colors.

Quilt: To top off my layered look I wanted to add a quilt. Plus additional warmth. This is also Target’s Casaluna Cashmere blend.

Pillow Cases: I found a different strip set of Linen sheets from Pottery barn to offset the Duvet.

Lumbar Pillow: Target has such great selection between Magnolia and Studio Mcgee.

Throw: For now I have this Barefoot Dreams Dupe.

All this combined has help enhance the overall look and comfort of a Pottery Barn inspired bed. Each layer adds a sense of texture and makes the space look inviting. I’ve linked these items below to create the bed of your dreams. ZZzzz
